Sulphur Springs, near the town of Soufriere, sits inside a dormant volcanic caldera and is one of the only places in the world you can drive directly into a volcano's crater. The last recorded eruption was in 1766. Bubbling mud pools, steaming vents and mineral mud baths are the draw, and the walking involved is minimal, which is what put it on our list for a family trip rather than an adults-only one.
