The story

It starts in a bakery on Rue du Bac

Rosie is the bright little cat who lives in the finest bakery in Paris. One morning she finds the shop turned upside down and her friend Gabriel in a panic — and so begins a gentle mystery that carries her across the city, from the banks of the Seine to the Arc de Triomphe to the sparkling Eiffel Tower at night.

Along the way, young readers pick up simple French words — each one with an easy say-it-out-loud pronunciation — and discover the stories behind Paris’s most famous landmarks. It’s a blend of mystery, friendship, and culture, made to be read aloud and pored over at three feet tall.
