Travel Itinerary: kuala Lumpur, malaysia

We spent 7 days in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with our two daughters. Kuala Lumpur is the vibrant and bustling capital city of Malaysia. Nestled in the heart of the Malay Peninsula, this cosmopolitan metropolis is a fascinating blend of modernity and tradition, where towering skyscrapers stand in harmony with historical landmarks and lush greenery. Kuala Lumpur offers a mix of cultural, educational, and fun activities for families to enjoy!

Arrival: Welcome to KL!

At a glance: Welcome to Malaysia! We flew direct from Boston to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific. We spent the night at the hotel airport in Hong Kong and then took a flight the next day to Kuala Lumpur on Air Asia.

Logistics: Upon arriving at the airport in KL, we downloaded the Grab application on our phones and booked a driver to bring us directly to our apartment rental. The app is simple to use, just remember to add your credit card information prior to booking the car or you’ll need to have cash on you to pay for your ride.

Accommodations: We booked an AirBNB rental right next to the Lalaport Mall. We highly recommend this rental, it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The apartment complex also had three pools, a sauna, a playground and a gym! The complex is very safe and secure and is walking distance to many shops and restaurants.
